Question

I am in the U.S. away from home without my cradle. Can I sync using infra red, my machine had a fatal error needing a hard reset and now I am stuck. Help please.

If you're using a Deluxe, the answer is yes... and no...

To do an IR sync with a Deluxe, you need 3rd party software because OS 3.1 doesn't support it. Since you don't have access to a cradle, you can't sync the IR software to the Visor, therefore you can't IR sync.

I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for...

for what it is worth, the software you need is called IR-link...

How about going to fry's and buy a hotsync cable (either serial or USB) that is allways handy when traveling (I know I allways bring mine...

Paul Kenyon, take it easy....bregent does have a point here...you can't expect an answer instantly, especially on the weekends...People do have lives outside of their Visors... hey that's why we buy Palm's to have something truely portable so we can go places...

Also if you would have used the search feature, you would have found a lot of usefull info....
