I have had my VisorDx for more than a month now and I haven't tested my IR until yesterday.
I tried to IR my info to my friend who had a PalmIIIc and I think he upgraded his OS to PalmOS 3.5. I'm thinking mabe it's because he updated his OS but I'm not sure why that would be the case. When he tried to IR his info to me, my visor didn't respond at all and when I tried to IR to him he Palm initially responded and then it just seemed to time out.
Is it because of the difference in the OS or is my IR messed up?
I hope it's not my IR because then I'd have to return it

My spouse has a Visor (OS 3.1) and I have a Palm Vx (OS 3.5). We beam stuff all the time. Is it possible that one or both your handhelds' "Beam Receive" option under Preferences is off? Another possibility is that your PDAs might be too close to each other (the best distance is about 4-40 inches apart).

Might want to make sure Afterburner is inactive if you are using it. I also have a Palm Vx and a Visor Deluxe. I could beam anything from the Visor to the Vx without a problem, but when I beamed from the Vx to the Visor, it wouldn't work until I turned of Afterburner.
Secondly, vandy has a good point. Beam Receive has to be set "ON" in General Preferences. Some turn it off to conserve battery power.

well we both had beam recieve on but it could be that we were placing the pda's too close to each other. Thanks for the advice.
