or their relatives?

I recently saw an AP newspaper photo of someone near Houma, LA, with the same last name as Toby and wondered if it were his brother, neice and nephew.

URL? Name? Actual location? Chances are slim that it was a close relative, although if they had the same last name and live in the United States, we're bound to have a common relative sometime since the 1700s.

i think it was in Chauvin, LA. Can't find the picture on line now. It was a father (Derril? Darrel?) pushing his son and daughter through the flood water. Made me think of you and hope you and yours are okay!

Well, I definitely don't have any close relatives in Chauvin, but they got worse from the storm than we did. I was in sunny Florida last week, though, so I missed it. My wife and daughter's worst experiences were being without power for 8-10 hours and cabin fever (since I just left everything put up from Isidore). I'm just glad that it lessened greatly before it hit shore.

i've seen a few people around the city with handspring products and wondered that same question. One guy, in particular, had the visor phone and seemed very 'knowledgable' about the handheld as he talked about it to his wife/girlfriend at the table next to me in a restaurant. I didn't ask though...

then again, there aren't too many of us on the board here from Toronto!

...then there was the VW bug with the licence plate IMABUG that i saw a week or so ago...knowing full well that IMABUG on this board currently lives in SC but is originally Canadian, i couldn't help but wonder!

I know of several people on Treocentral who live in my area (Vancouver) but I have never personally met up with them...but I have been keeping my eyes open for anyone using a Visor and/or a Treo.....

BobbyMike once said he thought he'd seen me, but apparently it was a doppel ganger since I hadn't been in the area where I know he was at the time he thought it was he saw me. (This was when BM was still selling cars.)
I think he's a good guy and wouldn't mind meeting him but I'd likely shock the heck out of him, since my real head has quite a bit more flesh on it than my picture here.

Hoser,

Remember HS Tech Support is somewhere in the city. Maybe it was a HS Tech guy that you saw.

I haven't seen anyone with a Treo or VisorPhone here yet though.

Well, I don't know if every Treo user is a TC User, but I saw 2 Treo's at the Rangers preseason game in NYC last Sunday.

I didn't say anything to them, but I had to point them all out to my wife. Treo! Treo! See, I'm not Crazy! Treo!

Heheh... Are there any Long Islander's, or NYC people out there? Or are you all from Canada? haha...

We ought to organize Treo get-togethers a la Tupperware parties.

Another forum I belong to involves our cars (see sig and avatar), and we routinely hold local GTG's to discuss mods et al.

Thumbs down

Yeah right, I can just see a bunch of grown men sitting around a table ALL holding Treo's and beaming apps to one another....

That's just a little too geeky for me.
