Question

In the recent interview with Handspring it was said that they are realing international versions next year. I live in England and want one _now_...
What differences can there be in the UK model as opposed to the US one, or can I get a friend in the US to get it for me?
Thanks
Ross

The major difference will be the power supply. UK uses 240V, USA 110V. Also the plug shape is different.
There might some software changes too, since UK uses an outdated spelling system. Like 'colour'. To avoid that the UK version will be 'monochrome'
But the main reason that there are no international sales is, that the 'management' most likely don't know that there are other countries then the USA after checking their 'USA only' globe.

Living in Australia and yet still planning to purchase a visor via the US, I too have wondered whether it will be compatible - but I really can't see any reason why not.

Like the UK, we also use 240V mains - but the visor has no mains connection, so the difference is irrelevant (I know of people who have purchased palm III's in the US and used them here with no prob.)

Apart from language differences (and let's face it, we can put up with colour spelt without the 'u') - they should be 100% compatible...

Any ideas?

I really don't know if Visor comes with a power adapter, this would be the main problem for international markets. But its no real problem since you can buy any possible standard in any voltage of the shelf (wholesale I mean).

I guess its just that the want to concentrate on the USA market first since its quite likely that they will not be able to fill those demand.

Any other opinions?
