If the site is specially designed for mobile device, then it'll look like your AvantGo pages. Otherwise, you are likely to see some messy stuff, for example, big images, unrecognized tables. Of course, it still depends on the web browser you are using. Some of them may do a good job in formatting.

Speaking of Web Browsers can anyone recommend a decent one.
I use AvantGo for off-line browsing, and iSilo for storing documents, but is there anything that supports HTML standards?

There are others that exist. The two that come to mind are ProxiWeb and EudoraWeb.
ProxiWeb utilizes a proxy and supports upto 40-bit DES encryption. It attempts to translate non-palm friendly sites into palm versions.
EudoraWeb includes an e-mail ready client that does true POP (IMHO) and only checks the first part of the message, then skips instead of ProxiMail offered by ProxiNet. EudoraWeb does not use a proxy and does not support DES encryption. I have not used it very much, so I can't remember how well it did/did not work.
AvantGo (ver 3.3) seems to work better as an on-line browser.
Hope that helps.
