Unhappy Help w/Totally Messed Up Visor Deluxe

Hi All,

I had replaced the batteries in my Visor Deluxe recently, but I don't think I secured the battery door properly. This led to my Deluxe completely discharging over a period of several hours.

No problem, I thought. I may have lost everything, but I can resynch and I'll be back in business. Unfortunately, when I tried putting batteries back in the unit, it's *completely* screwed up. The only thing I get on the display is a pattern of varying vertical lines....then followed by horizontal ones after about 2-3 minutes. The display itself seems fine...no cracks or anything (what *does* display on the screen is certainly well defined and bright...just not recognizable as anything but lines).

I've tried to perform multiple soft and hard resets to no avail. I've tried different batteries. What on earth could have happened to this unit to make it go from fully functional, to completely worthless? All I did was leave the batteries out of the unit for 2-3 hours.....I definitely didn't expect this. I really am quite puzzled by this.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

-Jay

Try leaving the batteries out overnight and try again. Sounds like RAM has junk in it, and your capacitor works too well.
