I just picked up a USB HotSynch cable yesterday, but I seem to be missing something obvious.

How do you execute the HotSynch operation from the Visor Desktop software? With the cradle, I've always used the button. I see a "HotSynch" menu on the menu bar for configuration, but no discernable menu option to actually start the HotSynch. The online Help just talks about the cradle's hardware button, and the cable comes with no instructions. What am I overlooking?

When using the HotSync cable, you need to start the HotSync app on the Visor itself and then tap the Local Sync button. The same holds true for the serial cables (ATL, MarkSpace) as well.

I'd really like to see a HotSync button on the cables. My homemade serial cable has one and it is really handy. Of course, it can at times get in the way, like when I'm connected to an external modem and accidently hit the sync button...

I would also like to see a button on the HotSync cable, just like the M100. It can't be too hard to put on if the lowest line of Palm comes with one.
