I currently have a Palm IIIx. It takes a pair of AAA batteries. I assume the Visor is the same.
The instructions recommend only alkaline batteries. I have become a fan of rechargeable alkaline batteries (as made by Rayovac, non-NiCd). I'm curious to know if anyone has any experience, good or bad, with using these batteries in a Palm or Visor.

i been using the same 4 batteries for like 5 months now; (one pair in, one in charger) no issuues; and due to my heavy use i change them every 2 or 3 weeks.
still impressive for a handheld computer!

That is impressive. The first pair of batteries I had in my IIIx lasted barely longer than a week. And those were regular alkalines, not rechargeable! (Then again, those were the included batteries. Maybe that has something to do with it.)
