Yeah, duh... Nothing personal... BUT I quite literally HATE having to switch apps to beam information. I don't keep DateBk3 and Datebook on the same screen with Launch'Em or in the same category in the System launcher. I don't think I should have to.
But Mr. Dewar won't add Beaming to his DateBk3, so I had hoped that the "ADVANCED" Datebook+ would support beaming. If Handspring was going to include it in their system, the least they could've done was ADD BEAMING to a system-inclusive App. Period.
I beam stuff to and get stuffed beamed from my coworkers very regularly. And it's a total nuisance have everyone exit DateBk3 so we can beam (if the receiver is in DateBk3 when info is beamed, the info is apparently lost).
Essentially the DateBook+ isn't any good to me without beaming. I don't care about Floating appointments or Journal entries.
I don't understand why developers of major applications wouldn't include beaming regardless of whether or not another application can beam its data. Do it as a courtesy, for crying out loud.
I applaud Armando at Thinking Bytes (ThinkDB), Cutting Edge Software (QuickSheet 4.1), and Synergy Solutions (Launch'Em) for including Beam capability to their apps. I applaud Mr. Dewar for creating a better Datebook app that's more versatile, but wish that either he or Handspring would do us the courtesy of adding Beaming to an external Datebook app.
