Post Memplug CF compatibility

Just got my Memplug CF, Works well with an older 16MB SST CF but I get fatal resets with sandisk. Tried to find a list of compatibile CF but Pi guards this list in their user group which is password protected, each user has to by approved by the moderator. Why the secrecy?
Does anyone else know which ones to use and which not to. I just want to get started using mine.

I also use SanDisk with my MemPlug CF and I found no compatibility problem on it. Did you just insert a SanDisk CF and then your Visor crashed?

I suggested you to register your MemPlug CF so that you can get their software updates and support. Also, I join their yahoo forum and I can freely access their CF compatible list. I recommend you to join the group too! They will actively answer user's question on yahoo forum.

Cool

I've had good luck so far with my Memplug-CF and Sandisk 64MB CF card--my implementation began last week. I waited on purpose until I had the Memplug before formatting/using the CF card. Now I use a Sandisk PCMCIA adapter to write directly off my laptop onto the CF card, which I can then plug right into my Prism. SWEET!

I guess I should make a complete copy of my Sandisk CF-64 card from time to time on my laptop, in case the CF card gets hosed up in the Prism somehow. TIGHT!

I can report that the MemPlug CF works wonderfully with my Mr. Flash 128 Meg CF card. Like others here, I have opted to buy a USB CompactFlash card adapter. It allows for quick copying of huge databases. I have copied 9 to 12 Meg databases to it very quickly. And like others, I can backup the entire card to my Windows PC in case something goes terribly wrong.

Fare thee well,
Swiftshadow
