Question

I'm thinking on buying the Innopak for my Prism. I need some memory and I think the vibe alarm will be nice. Before I make my decision I would like to know if there is any difference between the Ice and the Graphite, except for the color. Also, Does the Prism and the Innopak get along well? Anybody has a problem with the new update? Does it support colors? Will it be the same as having a Handspring Flash module?

Thanks for the feed back and please, let me know if there is any difference between the ice and the graph?

No difference between the Ice and Graphite versions of the Innopak/2V. As for memory, it acts like the Handspring Flash module, just 2MB of mem vs the 8MB of the Handspring version. The Innopak includes the same File Mover utility that Handspring uses. I own a VDX, so I can't answer the Prism compatiblity question, but I do recommend making sure you get the latest update from Innogear's site for the module. It fixed a few problems I was having with frequent soft resets and a conflict with the TrekSounds Hack.

Which looks better in the Prism? Ice or graphite? I figured graphite but then I stuck my old blue Deluxe's place holder springboard and ice didn't look too bad. Plus Ice has a blue circuit board, right?

Exclamation MobileAccess Or Wait

The Innopak does have an update that makes it run in color and operate much better on the Prism. I personally like the way the Ice looks better but most people would agree that the Graphite is better looking. I actually own both the Innopak and the memory access module from Global Access. The MA Module is mcuh more configurable than the innopak and comes in more colors. It also has an LED which the innopak does not. You can set it to either vibrate, flash the LED or both when there is a click, info window popup, error, startup, warning or confirmation, and on alarms(Obviously). You can change the strenght of the Vibration too. I would either get the Memory Access Module http://www.123global.com/access_memory.htm or wait until they come out with their 8MB version. Just my $.02

Question

Hey VisorGuy2,
I too have a mem access module which worked fine on my deluxe, but causes fatal exceptions on my prism when I use the alarms. I just talked to The Global Access people on the phone and they say they have identified an issue with Prisms & Platinums but not the VDx. I was wondering which Visor model you are using and if you are having any problems with it???

I have the Innopak, and it gets along just fine with my Prism. Every once in a great while, when I reinsert the module, the vibrating alarm starts up and runs until I turn it off in the IP test application. However, it's a minor annoyance, and it did the same thing with my old VDX. It seems to do it less often since I downloaded the new software.
