Cracked Battery Cover

The first thing I did when I got my VDX was to buy a set of rechargeable batteries and a charger. It worked out great, I don't mind changing batteries, but unfortunately I got an unexpected side effect. I take the battery cover on and off so much I seem to have cracked the tabs that hold the cover firmly in place. For now, I can get it to stay but I'm afraid they won't last too much longer. If I lose the cover, I'll lose the serial number and be SOL on upgrades. Is there anywhere I can get a replacement cover so I can store the broken one somewhere safe?

First I would write down your serial number somewhere.
A memo on your Visor would be a good starting place.
I use rechargeables also, but I have not noticed a problem with
the cover (yet). You could try some electrical tape, it should hold.
You could also contact Handspring to see if they could send you a new one. Good luck.
