Today, around 11 PST, I ordered the Geode GPS Module from GeoDiscovery after getting an e-mail from them saying that since I was on the Beta team, I get about a $40 discount. More to follow once it arrives around end of this month.

Geode Disappointment

I'm from Canada and when I recevied the email on Dec 19,2000 about pre-order. I placed an order immediately (Dec 19, 2000 2330hrs MST). I gave all required information and was told that I'm in the queue.

When I did not recevied a confirmation email the next day, I called up again and was told that they only send out email when they ship the item.

Guess what? Today I called up and they told me that:
1) They do not ship to Canada.
2) My order is not in the system.

I'm very disapppointed with the outcome. I wish that they would have let me know about all this before. Even if I managed to find a friend in US to order for me, I'm at the bottom of the queue...:-(

I am from Canada as well and I've preordered the Geode around Dec. 21. When I was ordering it they told me that they currently don't ship to Canada, but will begin doing it before the end of February. After I've read Beyonder's message I called to recheck and they confirmed it.

May I ask who did you spoke to?

I called twice and I still got the same answers:

1) They do not know when they will begin shipping to Canada.

This is getting very confusing to me.
