Okay I am sort of happy. I finally got a Prism and restored everything from backupbuddy. Everything seems to work okay except one major problem. My 8 meg flash Sb module's file mover program crashes on the Prism each time I try to run it.

Any ideas on this one. Software running from the module seem fine. It is just the file mover app. it starts, tries to read the local software and then gets the hated (RESET) screen.

P.S. I did have a few other lockups but think I was too low on memory. I got more memory after deleting some unused apps and the other software seems better now if this helps

Thanks for any help.

What version of the 8 meg module are you running? If it's v1.0, go to Handspring's website and d/l and install the 1.1 update for the 8MB flash module.

Sorry I should have said. No I got a newer one that is 1.1

it is so weird. Works okay in the Vdx. Just pop it in the Prism and the apps show just fine and seem to work okay. It is only when I launch the file mov er application that it starts to read the internal list then boom, reset. I have no idea what would cause this. I mean it is a HS device 8o)

FWIW, I have a Prism with an 8MB module which works fine. On the back of my 8MB module it says Version 1.2

File Mover 1.1 works fine on my Prism too.

I have asked Handspring if they are going to make File Mover 1.2, which is shipping on new 8MB Flash Modules, available. Handspring technical support and customer service say they have no info on that version!

I do not know what enhancements have been added to the 1.2 version of File Mover. Anyone know?

I have 2 8MB Flash modules using v1.1 and use both in my Prism with no problems. Are you running any hacks?

Hey I figured it out! A long time ago I installed a program called TrapWeaver. I forgot all about it really. Well this was still engaged and must not work well with the Prism. I turned it off and the File Mover works fine now.

Thanks guys!
