Is there a wireless browser that supports cookies? I have tried to reply to a message on this board thru YadaYada and when I sign in and go back to reply, it says I haven't signed in. Any one know what to do?

Actually I'm hoping for a Palm browser that does Java. Am I dreaming?

YadaBrowse does support cookies; go to preferences in the browser. You also have to have an established connection as your preferences are stored on their server.

I had trouble when logging in also. The first time I tried I had cookies on and logged in successfully. Then I turned cookies off and could not log in. I turned cookies back on and was able to post replies. I think the main trouble you're going to have is with the password as it will not recognize the one you provide. If I remember correctly, click on the link "Forgot My Password" and that should get you through. One strange thing though: my wireless password in totally different than the one I use at home. At home it is letter based and wirelessly it is numerical. Can anyone explain that?

Of course the only way I can test it again is to log off because when you successfully log on you don't have to do it again. I guess that's where the cookies come in.

Of the sites I've had to use that require passwords I've only been able to get into two: this one and E*Trade. Based on the fact that my wireless PW for VisorCentral is different than my home PW, I would guess we may have some trouble getting onto these types of sites.

I use Palmscape Japanese version, which is not in beta any more so I didn't realize English beta has expired.

After reading your post I tried getting into VisorCentral with AvantGo. It accepted my name and password on the first try. You may want to give that a try as well.

I just read that on their page, too. That explains everything. I'll wait patiently for the new version.

But this does lead me to another question, about security. I'm actually going to start a new thread about it, but my question is: How trustworthy are the proxies that we go through for web access?

Browser that supports Java

Check out KBrowser (www.4thpass.com). However, it only supports WML pages (I might be wrong!).

Hi,

I have a VDX and am able to establish a PPP connection to my employer's network via a wireline modem (Thinmodem from CardAccess) and my cellular phone (Motorola StarTAC). I have successfully used ftp and telnet programs for my handheld to access these computers, but I have not been able to get a browser to work. I have tried Blazer, YadaBrowse, and AvantGo's browser, all without success. My employer's network IS behind a firewall, so that could be part of the problem, but I think the bigger problem is that I don't understand what the browser is trying to do. For instance, why do I need to set up a Server in all of these browsers? Don't they work like IExplore and Netscape? Why can't I just request an http page without going through a "server"?

Any tips anyone?
