Prism2

I saw a real short story on some website about the Prism2. I forgot where it was or when, but it had a picture. It had a chrome/aluminum hard button area.... looked different. Can anyone point me to more information? I have a Visor Deluxe and would like to upgrade to color, but I want to keep the springboard port and not go on to a Sony. The current Prism is a little bulky, as I would like to get something smaller when I upgrade.

You are probably thinking about an article on www.palminfocenter.com. They had a one page write up back in the summer and the conclusion was that the picture was a Photoshop forgery.

I am personally hoping for a 240 x 320 with virtual graffiti and a strongarm processor running OS 5.0 for the Prism2.

Just stick Palm OS 5 in the new Zaurus, replace the compactflash with springboard, and call it Prism 2.

I think they're playing it smart and releasing the Treo right now and are planning on releasing a new PDA when OS5 comes out, if it takes off, they may be dealing with a dead product line, especially since the Visor line isn't upgradeable and the new OS is supposed to run on a different processor, but who knows?

Personally I'm waiting for OS 5 before I consider getting a new PDA. Sides my deluxe isn't even a year old.

Me too - but only if my trusty BRICK Prism 1 isn't still kicking!

I'm sick of black and green, time for me to put down my Deluxe and get a Prism.

My trusty Deluxe proved to me that I need a PDA, now I want colour.

Arrow Wally World

Walmart has Prisms

Walmart is selling new Prism's for $238.86 and I think that you get a rebate certificate for a CF Handspring adapter.

I just wish Handspring had upgraded the Prism to 16-megs and called it the "Prismo Pro" I know the aftermarket upgraders can upgrade it, but I would've felt more comfortable buying it already with 16-megs.

As for color Visors, you should see the imaginary "Color Edge" on the CD cover of thinkingBytes' TinyBytes! software CD case. I think some knucklehead in their art department grafted a Prism screen onto an Edge photo and wala, magic.

Edge

I don't like the edge for my uses. I always have a module installed, usually for memory and vibrate. With the Edge it dangles flimsily off the back and adds the bulk of the springboard and adapter.
