You are smelly liar.
The edge is not dead its just taking a nap.
The new sony you are refering to only has two things better than the edge, 1. the cool jog dial, 2. 320 x 320 screen res.
Well the edge has been out since the begining of the year and anything that is new should be better that something that is old.
DUH
Oh wow it can control tv's vcr's. thats why we have the omni-remote
Oooooo the cheazy memorystick that makes me laugh. I lugh now hahahaha
oh and the eyemodule..oops i ment the memorystick camera

Well like i said its new and it should be better but when HS comes out with th 32mb color edge with jog dial and supermans cape. you will change your tune.

by the way i am the new #1 defender of the "Edge". or the "Corner" as some people call it

first of all calling people names isn't nice. I gave an opnion so don't declare me as a lier.

second I love my Edge but the truth is unless HS reacts with a better Edge it will evantully die.

and please pick your words. calling names or making fun of other products isn't the way to promot a product you like.

I thought the "universal remote" feature was rather funny as well. I registered that program within the first month of its release. Unfortunately, the edge has a very weak IR. Conversely, the prism has the best out of any of the 5 devices I've used (PalmPilot Pro - obviously, PalmIIIe, VDX, VPR, edge).

Ever heard of this saying?

Tongue in Cheek: when people want to show they are kidding or have just knowingly uttered a falsehood.

He's just having a little fun. Don't take it so seriously!

Dude I am so sorry if my name calling was percived as more than a joke. I apologize. Please understand i was playing around.

on a better note i saw the site on sony's clie. It looks cool but i have faith that handspring will WOW us with thier new color unit.
I feel that HS came out with the neo and pro just to update the visor & deluxe. Butt thier main project is the TREO and the COLOR EDGE with an prism serial port.

I BELIVE IN YOU HANDSPRING!!! I KNOW YOU WILL AMKE ME HAPPY

I'm sorry... I was in a bad mood when I read the thread and just exploded at you...

however adding some smiles does help people to notice a joke than an attack...

so lets forget all of this and see what people think..

Edge is dead!

SAWolf
This is what I think:
The Edge is dead! Long live the T415!

I mean, come on! Hi Res, Jog Wheel, thinner form factor, 15 foot range on the IR, built in Memory Stick (no need for some $50 adapter to utilize external memory), flash ram so you can update O.S., which, by the way, is 4.0 NOT 3.5...AND all in an aluminium case!

Have you guys SEEN hi Res? That's FOUR TIMES the number of pixels of a 160 x 160 screen! Can you say SHARP?

Yeah, I just ordered a new Edge 2 hours before I saw the announcement. I figured for the Free software & Extra free case I couldn't go wrong. I'm tired of the silver wearing off on my Plat, plus the thinner form factor is really really appealing to me.

If I didn't have such an investment in Springboard's I'd probably hold off until the 415 was available.

Once I get my Edge, I'll have to think about it some more...b/c the on board Memory Stick, the Jog dial, & Flashable OS are truly calling to me.

Ebay is always an option, but I'm going to test the Edge waters again (I owned one back in April).
