Arrow

I have had my Prism now for about 2 1/2 weeks.
i just started having trouble with the digitizer. For no reason (it seems) the digitizer will get totally out of whack, and stylus taps tap about 1/3 of the screen off to the right from where I actually tapped. A soft reset doesn't help, I have to go into the digitizer setup in prefs, tap all the crosses four times, and that temporarily solves the problem.. Minutes later the problem with return.. It's very frusterating.
When I hard reset the problem also occurs.

Did my unit flake out?

Lightbulb Same problem here, solution for you!

I have the exact same problem with my unit. Soft and hard resets are not helping. I think it might be due to a virus. Have you loaded any prgrams like Hackmaster and any hack, or any accelartors? My solution for you would be for you to go to Staples, buy a new one, do a switch of the units, and return the old one for a refund. But, if the problem is due to a virus, I think you will see it on the new unit when you hotsync.

I had a very similar problem with my delux. A hard reset wouldn't fix the problem, even if I didn't load any of my software. Handspring replaced it and the problems never returned.

Ok, I think I will call Handspring and see what they say. The unit is just a couple weeks old, so they should replace it without thinking.

On a toally unrelated note, I was awakened this morning by an 7.0 Magnitude Earthquake This one moved the ground quite a bit, biggest one I've ever experienced, but no damage around my area. There are a dozen or so buildings downtown which have had brickwork fall onto the sidewalks, etc. Wee Haw!

Now there's an alarm clock that would even wake me up . I heard about that from my neighbor. I saw him out front and for no reason at all he said "There was an earthquake in Seattle at 1 our time." He's a bit odd .
