Lightbulb Beaming appoinments

While the thought sounds silly, is there a way to beam apppointments to my work group of PALM OS users?

To beam single appointments, you can use the regular Datebook, not Datebk+. Datebk4, a third-party program, also allows you to beam appointments.

The Datebook+ app is a "lite" version of the commercially available DateBk3. Handspring has included it on all Visors to date. One of its "missing" features is the ability to beam which is why the standard PalmOS Datebook is still included.

Interesting. Any idea what other features D+ is "missing"? Thanx.

Minor point: Datebook+ is a lite version of DateBk3. DateBk3 did not have the ability to beam appointments either. That first appeared in DateBk4. Taking a look on Pimlico's web site I see that they are working on a DateBk3.1 which does have beaming. Anyways, on Pimlico's web site is the DateBk3 FAQ, from which is the following:

quote:
Is DateBk3 the same as Datebook+ in the Handspring Visor handhelds?

No. Datebook+ is a light version of DateBk3 that Pimlico originally wrote for Handspring. It is now a Handspring product. The major differences are that DateBk3 supports categories and timezones, graphical icons, appointments spanning midnight, appointments to the nearest minute, custom week numbers, durations and Make Exception command. THere are also approximately 20 other minor featurettes in DateBk3, not in Datebook+. V-3.1 of DateBk3 to be released in April 2001 adds beaming of appointments, bold font attribute for individual appointments and a 3-day view.
