Angry Outlook calendar not responding

My Hotsyncs are hanging up on the calendar when I try to sync to Outlook...

The Chapura people say it is an outlook problem because the calendar is not responding. Microsoft is as uncooperative as ever saying, oem problem. The Knowledge base at microsoft only talks about exchange servers. Please help.

Do you have Outlook running when you attempt to sync? If not, try opening it first and see if the results are any better.

Arrow Outlook running

I have tried it both ways. In outlook, in the actual calendar itself, I get nothing. I have to control alt del and end task to exit outlook. All other folders work fine.

Run Inbox Repair

I have a feeling your outlook (pst) file is corrupted. You need to run scanpst (inbox repair tool). This is outlined in the microsoft knowledge base. I recommend you go to the microsoft support page, search for scanpst in the outlook knowledge base and follow the instructions. My outlook database does funny things like this from time to time and scanpst fixes it right up. Make sure you manually back up your pst file by copying it to another directory before you try anything. Sometimes scanpst will loose corrupted data when it fixes the file. This web page should do it.

thanks for the suggestion

I have tried that. No luck. I have even tried reinstalling Outlook from the oem disks. I am off tonight and I might try everything over again.

How long have you waited? I noticed a similar problem, but if I let the sync continue for awhile, it eventually finishes, and then it is much shorter on the next sync. This has happened maybe 3 times in 3 months.

waiting

How long are you suggesting, I'll give it 30 minutes tonight. But I think my problem is in outlook, not pocketmirror or hotsync manager.
