The only module I have is the back-up. I have been thinking about leaving the module in the springboard slot. Does anyone think that might be a problem.? Does leaving the module in the Visor cause any kind of problems ? Right now my only concern would be that I accidently hit restore and it wiped out any info that I didn't have backed up at that time. I know restoring by accident would be hard to do, but you never know.

From a technical standpoint, it's no big deal.

From a practical standpoint, if you keep the module separate from the Visor and the Visor gets lost/stolen, you can get your data back into a new Visor with the module.

I read another thread (not sure if it was on this site or another) where I found that a LOT of people were leaving the Backup Module in their Visors. There were various reasons, like ease of use, don't have to carry it separately, reminders to backup, etc...

I was kind of surprised. I come from a data processing background, and the rule there is to ALWAYS keep the backup offsite from the system if you want an on-site backup, its an additional copy. I follow this philosophy, and keep my backup module separate from my Visor. I DO keep it nearby I only have one Backup Module and having it across town when I need it wouldnt help. (Maybe I need another one )

Well, I guess with your own PDA, its all about personal preference, but there are some thing to consider
- What if you dropped your Visor? Would the module also be damaged or stuck inside the unit?
- What if your Visor was lost or stolen? You would lose the backup also. (Especially if you were away from your computer for a time.)
