Question

Although I have installed and then reinstalled the Palm software on my PC, I can't get the Hotsync Manager to respond (it simply doesn't seem to exist when I access it via the Start menu on my computer)--I am trying to set up custom hotsyncing options. Regular hotsyncs are working just fine (it just takes so long...) Am I missing something incredibly obvious?

If it's already running, you just need to click on the icon in the System Tray (assuming you're using Windows). Select Custom from the popup menu to modify conduit settings for syncing.

The System Tray is part of the Windows Task Bar. It contains things like the clock and some other app icons (like HotSync).

ahhh.. thanks mark. we mac users have a similar thing, but it's all part of the menubar at the top of the screen rather than the bottom.

will we mac users and windows users ever understand each other?

MarkEagle,

Thanks so much for your response--I think I have indeed solved my problem.

Angry Mine suddenly stopped working

My Hotsync all of the sudden stopped working. I haven't installed anything new in the past week, but even though I hotsynced on Monday, I can't do it today.

I tried to uninstall and it said that the uninstall file was corrupted. So, I just renamed the visor folder, and reinstalled, but it still wouldn't work. Then I uninstalled (worked this time) and then reinstalled. No luck. DOH! Any ideas?

Try a soft reset of the Visor.
