It's great that Visor owners are now open to the world of PQA's (web clipping applications). Even us Vdx owners with Palm OS 3.1 can use most PQA's through JP Systems PQA software (although some don't work). There are literally hundreds of these little applications (usually only 1-10k in size) available and as far as I can tell, they're all free. How about sharing your favorites for the benefit of others.

The following are the ones currently loaded on my Vdx and all work with JPS PQA software:

Brittanica - Wireless encyclopedia
Cocktails - Wireless mixed drink database
Merriam-Webster - Online Dictionary/Thesaurus
Fedex - Track Fedex packages
Fidelity - Access account info and trade stocks
Google - Wireless search engine
NextBeamPager - Send messages to Nextel phones
Starbucks - Find the nearest 2 Starbuck locations
*CD - Find out the name of the song you heard on the radio (and buy the CD)
YMail - Check your Yahoo Mail

All these take up maybe 30-40k on my Vdx. True, some of the info is available through wireless browsing, but you can't beat the simplicity and speed of these PQA's.

Is it possible to run these PQA's that require 3.2 and above? It seems like a couple of the picks so far require a higher OS than the VDX...

As far as I know, all PQAs require Palm OS 3.2 or above. That's the beauty of JPS is that it allows one to use PQAs with only Palm OS 3.1 (i.e. Visor Deluxes). But as I mentioned in my earlier post, not all work as designed, but certainly enough work to make JPS indispensable IMHO.
