Question

Hello All.

Need help again.

I train our new sales employees. All of our company manauals are on our intranet site. I have most of what I use saved on my laptop. I want a way to put this info on my visor so I can leave the laptop behind...

I have quickoffice... or quickword...
I was thinking of coverting the HTML file to a word doc...

Any ideas will be helpful...

Thanks
Terry

Goto ISILO.COM and check out the ISILO doc viewer and ISILOWEB the HTML converter. Works great.

I don't use Avantgo myself, so I really can't comment on it. Maybe someone else will chime in.

I think the major difference is that AvantGo-specific channels are exclusive (at least with that particular PDA-optimized layout). IOW, you can download the information from the main site from anywhere, but the layout optimized for the small screen can't be provided to users by another means. That's why some content providers have mobile-optimized versions (The Onion comes to mind) that have to be set up as custom channels to be downloaded via AvantGo. With these, there's little difference either via AvantGo or creating an ISilo Web setup. If the NYTimes channel you have is a custom one, there's little reason for you to use AvantGo over ISilo for those purposes (other than AvantGo being free and the real version of ISilo that supports links not).

HTH,
Toby
