Ok.. I want to clarify things.
1) you can ALWAYS get the module to connect. But you
can't get a TCP/IP stack established.
2) If you set it to AP, disable encryption, and hardcode info
in, you get a CONNECTED message. You cannot use TCP/IP apps.
(Try simple ones like PING, using ICMP, or telnet). The MAC addresses never get cached on either PCs or the AP.
3) you can ALWAYS get connected using a peer-to-peer configuration.
The problem is that this is useless if you want to use TCP apps.
4) I'll try the "Uncheck Query DNS" but still hardcode DNS.
If this works, however, I'll be shocked.
5) after you "Connect", go back into SpringPort,
Select "Status". Under "Advance Status", select "IP Information".
See if you have an IP and a Default Gateway AND a DNS server.
If you do, you should be working fine.
I NEVER see this when I use the Linksys, even If I hardcode info in.
Still no word from Xircom.
