Exclamation

Help, after loading the stoaway software on my desk top and using the damn thing I've had no end of problems. I just tried to use my backup module but after it finished and I removed it the screen showed "last back up date". So I the tried a soft reset. All I get is the Palm operating screen. Whoops, its back up now but I lost all my data. Can I restore all my data w/the module or via the cradle?

Stowaway software on the desktop? Can you explain this further? Also, what kind of problems are you having?

In regard to the Backup Module, did you remove it while the backup app was still active? If so, this will generally cause an error or reset to occur. Whenever using any Springboard module, always exit any running app loaded from the module before removing the module.

Assuming you successfully backed up to the module, you should be able to restore from it. The best thing to do is try... if it doesn't work, then attempt to restore from the desktop.

You have to put the keyboard driver on your desktop 1st before you can actually use the damn thing. As for the module I took it out after it said back up finished and the "graph/icon" was filled up. My Visor finally "purged" itself/hard reset. Then I synched it and found most of my data again. I just spent the last hour down loading all the software apps that were lost (account manager, travel tracker, iou mate, worldmate etc). But I've lost all the data I entered since the last sync (3-4days ago). I'm afraid to use the backup module again.

When the module completes the backup, you need to tap on the application icon and return to the launcher screen before removing the module from the Visor. Check out this article for further information. As I said earlier, if you remove any module while its application is still running, it will most likely cause a reset or error. A good rule of thumb is to always return to the main application launcher before removing a module.
