Question Battery Life on the Edge -- How long does it last?

I just got my edge. It's actually my first Handspring rechargable unit. I've had the ipaq and the battery lasts about 1-2 days on rather limited use.

How long does your edge's battery last? So far I've done a bunch of hotsyncs (w/o ac power to it) and used the backlight a lot. I haven't even seen the battery meter go down one block yet!

I just need to know some sort of ball park estimate so that I know when to carry the charger and when not to carry the charger with me on trips.

Thanks in advance

My edge lasts ~10-15 hours of uptime before it gets to the battery warning. Palm and Handspring always consider "30 minutes a day" regular use. so the edge potentially lasts a month of regular use. I however clocked ~1-2 hours a day on my edge. so I'd expect my edge to last no more than a week.

look for a util called runtime. it's freeware and tracks the usage of your palm.. great util.

Well using it a bit each day (about 30 minutes), it lasts for about3 and a half weeks without a recharge.

With a lot of use, I guess it lasts about about a week (2 hrs each day).

One of the reasons, I chose a Palm over the Ipaq. When I arrived in Korea, I didn't have to worry about my battery running out for a few weeks until I could figure out where to get a plug converter (and ask for it Korean)

Hope you like your Edge, I really like it, but wished it had colour now though, because B/W piccys look pretty dull.
