I guess I have a couple of questions, one leading to the next. I'm looking at getting the cable to connect by visor to a motorola startac and am looking for some kind of case or something to use them together. Know of any?

If not, I want to make one. My idea is to attach the startac to either a springboard cover (the one the ships with the visor) or the visor cover. Only thing is, I don't exactly want to go drilling holes in my only ones. Does anyone know where I can buy a few extra of these (maybe 3-4 each), or would anyone be willing to sell me theirs if they are not being used?

Thanks,
Will

Inspired by your thread i took some velcro and put it on the back of my visor and motorola talkabout phone to see how it would look, kinda awkward.. What would be nice would be a sprinboard adapter liek the clipon organizer for the motorola phones that clips in... maybe a sled-like design?

Have you tried calling Handspring? I cracked the hard cover for my Visor, and when I called them, they sent a new one right out, no charge. Priority Mail, if I remember correctly.

I have been thinking about purchasing one of those cables as well. I was going to take the Holster that my StarTac is in and cut the little nub off that covers up the connector at the bottom. Then I could just leave the StarTac on my hip and hold the PDA. Granted, I would need a slightly longer cable for this, but to me it would be the most convenient. Besides, I already own two of the holsters.
This is not completely wireless, but it does the same thing, gives me better coverage, and it is cheaper. It also allows me one less piece of equipment to carry since I would not need a modem.
