I am interested in knowing if most people use the 8Meg flash module for ebooks, or programs, or what...
I am a new VDx user and I'd like to get an idea of how useful an extra 8 megs of memory really is - so if you bought one, what do you use it for?

I don't have a Visor Delux (I use my Visor Solo with GoType Pro for school and Don't have much extra money to go around) When I get enought cash I plan to get an 8meg flash pac. I think that there are many advantages to this springbord, such as your data is safe, very slim possibility of it crashing, I think that backups of the most inprotant stuff are simpil. as far a eBooks go you could probly fit a around 12 copys of War and Peace on that springbord. IF you find that you are filling up your Visor DX then the 8meg flash is a must if not then don't worrie about it

I use mine for storing e-books and games. I also use it to back ups. I have the 2meg version of the free dictionary on it and some game and other programs. Just remember that when you put something on the module you cannot change it. Most games work on the module if the program saves the high scores and other info in a separate file in the handsprings ram. I also have the free map software called mapopolis on the module. Ive used all but 2.6 Megs of the module and have 3.6 Megs of ram left on my handspring. The module can also be use for transferring large files to other handsprings (much faster than beaming!!) I hope this helps you.

Actually, you can change things you have put on the module. You copy them to RAM, make the changes, then move them back to the module; File Mover will ask you if you want to overwrite, and you can do so. :>
