Just got my visor deluxe and i am really pleased with it.

I have set it up to hotsync both at work and home.

My question is this - is it possible for me to be able to copy some small zipped files maybe 2mb in size to the visor and then when i get home copy them of to my home pc ? would save using floppies and spanning across a couple etc.

If possible how would i do it ?

Thanks

Very good question, Schwindj!

I think it's a wonderful idea. It ought to be possible, but I'm a newish user too, and haven't got a clue how. It certainly would be great if you had a compact flash module with even more file carrying potential.

So I add to your post, mainly to bring it back to the top. Come on, Visor experts... Where's the perfect file mover to do this? I suspect it's already out there somewhere.

The Palm CEO suggested that a PDA should be THE only thing you carry. The things I carry are money (cash and credit cards, information, files, and a pen or two. If they get the digital VISA deal working countrywide, I'll leave my cash and cards at home. I already carry my information in my visor. I just got a pen stylus, so that problem is solved. File tranportation is next. I want it!

there are 2 software titles out there that do this... One is called 'FileBox' (I think) and the other is called PocketRetriever found here:

thanks for calling us 'Visor Experts' but I don't think I come close to that....

You might be best (depending on the speed of your internet connection on each end) just uploading the file to some sort of online drive like http://www.idrive.com.

i agree with lex. i use MyDocsOnline which also has an AvantGo channel so that if i'm travelling with my visor and modem, i can email the file to somebody through the avantgo channel and when i sync my avantgo, it sends a command to MyDocsOnline to email that file with my message! I can also access the files from any computer with internet access.

Sorry, that may have sounded a bit confusing.

Thanks very much for the help.

I have decided to go with Filebox after looking at it and having a play, it will suit my needs.

I thought about using the internet but although i have very quick access at work, my home access can leave a bit to be desired at times!!.

Thanks everyone
