Visor Prizm to Motorola p280 via IR

I have a Handspring Visor Prizm and I would like to use my Motorola p280 which has GPRS connectivity to browse the net. I have read the instructions on users.zipworld/com.au/~rmills and made all the necessary settings on the visor but when I go to connect with the p280 nothing happens. Any suggestions? Do I need some kind of software. HELP!!
