sync issue with recently upgraded pc (windows and office xp)

I have a visor edge and had no issues at all with it or syncing until I upgraded to windows xp and office xp.

when I upgraded, I uninstalled pocket mirror and the hot sync software, and then reinstalled the latest software available from handspring's website.

when I try to sync now, I get a message that my default outlook profile has changed, which is effectuating a recovery sync, and that that will duplicate all my data.

I changed my settings to "desktop overwrites handheld" to try to trick it a bit, but I got the same error.

I renamed my pocket mirror folder in outlook to try to get it to make me a new one, but I got the same error.

I would prefer of course not to hard reset, but realize it may come to that. if you have any ideas or suggestions as to how to avoid that, I would love to hear them.

if you need more info to help me, just let me know. will provide directly.

thanks in advance.

mary

Hey ive seen this a couple of times but not using Xp, you want to make sure in your internet options that outlook is specified for email and not express, also download and install the pocket mirror standard update 3.1 from chapura (free download) i know you got the palm desktop 4.01 from handspring but it includes pocket mirror 3.0.1 the 3.1 was only just released and it seems to help with a rather large variety of problems.

Cheers
