Ok...I am patiently awaiting for the arrival of my Xircom Wirless Module(it is supposed to arrive on monday). I plan to do a whole bunch of software development for the handspring using Java/KVM and the wireless module.

As a first step I plan to just create a simple client/server app(PC to Handspring). There are a few issues that I am kinda concerned of...

1) As we all know, the wireless module has its own batteries so it doesn't wear down the handsprings batteries. So if the handspring is off, will it be able to recieve anything from another client(or server)?

2)If the wireless module recieves data for an application, is it smart enough to start up the handspring and load the proper application that the data is destined for?

3)If the handspring is off, are we able to ping the module? If this is the case we can check to see if "Elvis has left the building".

If anyone has done any developement (Java or C/C++) with respect to the wireless modules, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks,

Jason
