Maybe I was out of place with my Avantgo question a couple of hours ago... it disapeared on the message board before I could read a reply. I do not want to violate any regulations on Visro Central, however the question will be beneficial to me when I get my BVDx that has been ordered. Is Avantgo really a free site that allows you to download "channels" of news and information onto your Visor?
Thanks,
Scout

You're right, that's exactly what AvantGo is. They have hundreds of channels "optimized" for handhelds, but give you the means to download any website to your Visor. The pages are downloaded to your Visor during the HotSync process.
Have fun when you get yours.

Some pages will download better than others.
I agree with JHromadka that the text only version of weather underground is far better than the weather channel which AvantGo promotes.
My local newspapers both publish their content to the web. Instead of paying over $100 a year for the paper that covers me in ink and makes me recycle, etc., I just download everything.
