Handspring Modem Dialing Help Needed

Just wondering if anybody knows how to disable the "wait for dialtone" on the handspring modem before it dials? I need to dial out without the modem first waiting for a dial tone. In other words I would like to hit the connect button and have the modem instantly start dialing. Thanks for your help.

did you ever figure out how to do that? I found this thread using the search and I have the same problem. Please someone help us!
