Question

Hi,

I've been using my Visor with my Motorola L7089 (Timeport) GSM phone, via the IR port (the phone has a built in modem).

I've had problems with connections (initialisation strings are very important) but can now get some kind of a connection. It still seems too slow (max speed is 9600 but I keep getting 'CONNECT 300' messages).

I'm sending:
AT&K5 (flow control)
AT+CBST=71,0,1 (set up a transparent ISDNish link, recommended by my mobile provider)

Does anyone know what the Visor sends to the modem as well as the user-specified strings? I tried asking Handspring but they told me I would have to sign up as a developer to find out.

Useful stuff if you have a similar set-up:
IR-link (lets you switch between IR/USB):

GSMtool (write text messages, sync address book with phone, dial phone):

Kev.
