I'd like to get an idea of the shipping schedule that Handspring has planned. We know they started shipping last Friday, but did they just ship the first day's worth or numerous days worth of orders? I ordered mine on 9/23, and instead of calling a CSR, waiting on hold, and adding to their confusion, I'd rather ask the forum. How quickly are they going to be sending out orders, and are they sending them in big shipments every couple of days or are they shipping day by day?

I'm not certain that the forum will be able to provide that info. Much of what we post is conjecture based upon multiple conversations with contracted Customer Service. Check out some of the other threads and you'll see what I mean.

I'd say that they will try and send based upon the daily demand up unitl they run out of units due to lower then demand production schedules.

Handspring is now stating 4 to 6 weeks which tells me they don't have an excess of units lying around and that production will catch up with demand in 4 to 6 weeks.

You'll just have to be patient and if you decide to call CS, be prepared for different info from each rep because they are contracted not employeed by Handspring.

A rep said I should get mine, ordered near the end of September, only four or so days later than the dayOne folks. I live in Seattle BTW.

Take any thing he said with a grain of salt though. Customer Service is not the best as you know though. I called to confirm my order, and they had me down for a blue one instead of the green one Im sure I asked for. BOO!

For whatever its worth. I called handspring yesterday because I placed my order by phone and since they weren't going to send email confirmations I wanted to make sure they had the order and all info was correct. Anyway I orderd my Visor on the 7th or 8th of October and she told me I'd have mine in 2 to 3 weeks. But who knows I'm not gonna hold my breath.

I also called yesterday. Hold time was 33 minutes. I'm having some non-visor issues that may affect the ship to address and I wanted to be sure it was going to my house instead of my office. I ordered late Sept. via phone and the CSR was able to find my order after putting me on hold for literally 45 seconds based solely on my first and last name.

Turns out that it was already set to ship to my house (don't know what he'd have said if I asked to change it). I thanked him and was about to hang up when he told me that it would most likely be between november first and tenth before I got it.

I'm not really annoyed or anything, just passing along more conflicting information.
