Re: Edge battery life

Hello,
I am looking into buying a new Edge, and I was hoping to get some feedback about the _REAL_ battery life of the Edge. I had an iPaq and was forced to return it because the battery was lousy for my lifestyle.
The other question I have is about the no flash-rom and if that has really affected anybody. This is a mild sticking point of me mainly because I am a sucker about the latest and greatest regardless of whether I really need it.
Any feedback would be awesome.
Cheers
Battery life on the Visor Edge is amazing! What's great, along with the long life (I've taken trips of 8 or 9 days, without the charger, and with heavy usage, it's still had about 25% left), is that from completly discharged to a full charge is only 90 minutes! If you drop it in the cradle every four or five days, and leave it there for about 20 minutes, you'll always have a pretty full battery.
As for no flash-rom...
There are certainly two sides to this arguement, but my opinion is this... I purchase a new handheld every two years or so. The changes in the Palm OS haven't REALLY been that significant, from one version to the next. Yeah... it now has *masked* events, they've added 16 shades, I guess the biggest change has been adding color, which the Visor Edge doesn't support anyways.
Keep this in mind: Palm has made it pretty clear they're going to go with a newer, faster and more powerful processor in the near future. Once they do that, they'll certainly need an updated OS which works exclusively with the new processor. With that in mind, it really won't matter at all if your Palm/Visor has flash-rom, because the hardware won't be able to support the new OS (designed for a new processor) anyways! Nobody really seems to point that out!
Anyway, my two cents, for what it's worth.
I certainly could be wrong about this... if anyone feels I'm mistaken, please feel free to correct me.
