Help. My Eyemod 2 sends my Delux into convulsions. It was fine out of the box, but now when I insert it, the Eyemod comes up in the "List" mode rather than with an image ready to capture. When I tap the camera icon it clears the screen but leaves it darkened. I have to do a reset to go anywhere, but when I do the Visor contrast is set near the low end of the bar.... everytime.

How old is it? Sounds like it's gone bad for some reason. I've had one for about 2 mo., and all is well.
I have noticed if I've had to hard re-set or something, the EM2 goes back to factory settings, so the view screen doesn't auto come up until you change Preferences again.
Also, the view screen takes A LOT LONGER to come up than EM1 did, generally (about 4 full seconds!).
BLOCKS / IDEO, if you could improve this in EM3, it'd be nice!

It's only a couple of weeks old. Handspring got back to me and seems to think the same thing. I'm in Malaysia now and shipping it off/getting it back could be a real pain.

My heart goes out to you, but it sounds like the patient's prob. really going to have to be shipped in for surgery, no way around it. Too bad they don't have the same kind of "we'll send you one first, you return us yours 2nd" policy they have w/the Visors.

Smile

The patient is cured. I was getting ready to ship the thing back to the states for replacement when Eyemodule Support recommended I try changing the batterys in my Visor again. That cured it. (duh) Feeling a little stupid, but man, does this thing suck down batterys! I had just changed them and did not have even 4 shots off I don't think.

Nonetheless, I am happy again. I don't have to go through the hassle of shipping/receiving/customs etc. from here in Southeast Asia.

update may fix that...

Did suport tell you to update your module? That may increase your useful battery life. You can get the update from palmgear.com or eyemodule.com.

No, Eyemodule didn't mention anything about an update. I will check into that now. Thanks a mill.
