Got a general question about using both of these modules.

I've configured my VDX so that I put all of my critical programs (avantgo, eudora, doc reading apps, etc) on the 2MB memory of the Innopak, leaving the internal memory for documents and database files used by these programs. That way, when I do a backup, it's just backing up all the databases, which I assume change more often and need to be backed up more often anyways.

Is this a good idea? I realize that, with my current configuration, I can't run any of those programs without the Innopak, but will this be problematic in the future? Also, what happens when I update any of these programs? Do I need to delete them or transfer them onto internal memory first?

I believe it's a fine idea. I do the same thing. I copy all my DateBook, Address, Memo, and ToDo databases to my InnoPak. I also copy a few docs, a doc reader, and some hacks. I re-copy the files to the Innopak about once a week as I update my work schedule.

When you update the files and programs the system tells you that those files already exist and asks if you want to copy over them. Tap "YES" and they're updated. If you're worried about problems just be sure to take your InnoPak with you wherever you go like I do.

I also tested this by copying all the standard files to the InnoPak, transferring the InnoPak to another Visor, and finally copying the files from the module to Visor memory. Worked like a charm. I also copied the same file to my MiniJam.
