Well, I have 2 FlashPluses, a whole host of Matchbook drives (long and short), MemPlug CF, and MemPlug SM. I strongly prefer the software of the FlashPlus. VFS works great for me on my test machine (Visor Deluxe) though I haven't been really working it hard. If you have a Deluxe, make sure that the PiVFS works with the Deluxe.

The MemPlug is okay, but I really do like the FlashPlus software better. The support for the FlashPlus software (from Kopsis Engineering) is amazing.

If you're having trouble getting a FlashPlus from PalmGear, get in touch with Keith Hudson at Matchbook Drive (http://www.matchbookdrive.com/) and see if he has any in stock.

btw, I've never ordered hardware from PG before Wednesday, but I fully expect my SnapNType to be here today or tomorrow. (PG claims it's been shipped.)

My SnapNType arrived today, well packed. Seems okay to me. (YMMV!)

I'm going to wait until Monday to try calling again. Since we have 2 VDx's here maybe I'll try ordering a separate one from Matchbook & see what happens.

Well, I can't say that -- but I can't complain, either. I bought a software product from them last year that they never charged me for.

Other than that one incident, though, no problems (but I've only bought software, too.)

I recieved a "shipped" e from PG.com just this afternoon for my FlashPlus (6 weeks after the initial order...) Of course the day after placing a separate order with Keith at Matchbookdrive.com for the same plus one of his own MD-100 adapters. I think next time I'll go with the indie resellers like Keith who appreciate customers more.

Matchbook (Keith) was gracious enough to send my MD-100 off ahead of the FlashPlus I also ordered from him...kudos for Matchbookdrive.com

But now I read that PG.com have a 20% discount on the FlashPlus I ordered from them back before I started this disgruntled thread. I fully expect $10 off my purchase from PG but do you think I'll get it without having to raise additional hell? Most likely not. I'll reserve my final evaluation of PG's mail-order service until I recieve my module & the final bill. With this in mind I'm ready to vent my opinions on my epinions.com account (at the very least I could make back my $10 from readership royalties, yeah?)

Sour grapes? Maybe... Justifiable disgruntibility? Yes.

They told me that my FlashPlus shipped 01Oct too. I hope to get it soon. I checked their web site and the "Save 20% on select Springboard Modules!" doesn't include the FlashPlus.

The list is available here:

Yeah dessa, I noticed that the FlashPlus isn't under the 20% discount...I did get mine via USPS Priority Mail today, postmarked Oct 1. I'm just suprised that they don't use "Delivery Confirmation" with the Priority Mail.

So far so good...

dessa, when you get your FlashPlus; let me know if the product box was shrink-wrapped. The FP box that I recieved was not wrapped & had previously been opened. Not to mention there is a crumb-sized piece of crap at the bottom of the FlashPlus' CF slot right next to the pins that wouldn't blow out. I'm wondering if I got a used FlashPlus or not. The module works fine as far as I can tell after testing it for the few minutes I had free today, but my 64meg CF card only shows up as "60M" under the Utility app.

This is normal. In the computer world, 64 MB is not actually 64 MB. Same like how your 20 GB computer isn't quite 20 GB. My 64 MB Sandisk Module also show 60 MB on the info screen.

I'm not satisfied with their customer service/technical support. I recently had a problem with my SoundsGood module. I wasn't sure if it was a hardware or software issue. But they were very uncommitted to solving my problem, tirelessly pointing out that my warranty had expired every time I tried to get a solution. Eventually I figured out how to solve it, no thanks to them.

I'm in a bind now, as I want to but an Energy Clip for my SoundsGood. But I don't want to give them the buisness.
