Bottom stylus bracket - no need!

You know the bottom metal bracket on the Edge that is held on with a tiny screw, and holds the tip of the stylus in place? Well, I somehow lost the screw for that thing this weekend, so I took the metal piece off. To my surprise and delight, the stylus clips in just fine with only the top plastic piece to hold it. I have done some vigorous pushing and pulling on the stylus while it is clipped in this way, and have found that even a good hard pull in any direction won't take it off. Pulling it straight out from the side does cause the plastic side to pull away from the metal shell a bit, but I was using a lot of force for that.

The only thing I can think of that the bottom part is good for is to protect the tip. Otherwise, it's just an annoyance that I am happy to be rid of. I don't even think the case looks aesthetically any worse without it. I suppose I should also find the screw and put that back in so the bottom right corner doesn't pull away, but it doesn't seem that likely.
