Speaking of Otterboxes. . .
I decided to invest in some cases that would offer protection to the small electronic stuff that I usually pack for hunting and camping trips, i.e., Visor, GPS, mini-TV, camcorder, cel, pager (wait, that stays home) and was ready to pull the plastic and get Otterboxes. Shopping around pays (or should if the delivery is made). From the Otterbox site, I found 3 or 4 sites that distribute their products and settled on www.cases4less.com because even with shipping, the prices were sweet. I'm getting two of the 3000 and a 2500 for the price of one 3000 and one 2500 at other sites.
5 years from now, one electronic unit will do what my 5 or 6 separate devices do. Maybe I'll keep them for sentimental reasons, since I'll have a waterproof place to store them. On the other hand, things might go the way of stereo equipment. While there are manufacturers that fit everything into your receiver (amp, tuner, etc.) there is still a market for components. Seems like the dedicated components are built a bit better than the compiled products.
