Is it possible to synch my Visor Deluxe with two PIMs in this way:
I use Starfish Sidekick, which only synchs Calendar, ToDo, Contacts (addresses) and Memos.
I also want to synch Expenses and, which is available on Palm Desktop. While Palm Desktop would not have all the functionality I get from Sidekick, I can sure us the Expense feature with its link to Excel.

Is it possible to use two desktop PIMs to synch different types of data to my Visor Deluxe?

Thanks for your help.

Hi, Orrie. The answer to you question is YES!

Install the Palm Desktop program and HotSync Manager. Single click on the HotSync Manager icon in your system tray. Click on *custom*. The resulting window displays a list of all the items that will hot sync when you push the button on your cradle. Double click on any of these items to access the sync options for them. There is always a *do nothing* option so you can kill any of the items you want to.

TrueSync should be in the list so you could only have TrueSync and Expense enabled........that should get you what you want!

Hope this helps.

Later,
albert

Thank you Albert.

Now I have to figure out how to make a custom template for Excel, so I can incorporate client data, etc. Well, I'm halfway there.

TrueSync is on the list, but I don't know if it is TrueSync Plus, which is the version I have to use to synch to between Sidekick 98 and my Visor. The options are Use Native Conduits or Use True Sync Conduits, and I have no idea what that means.
Incidentally, I had been opening TrueSync Plus each time I did a synch, but I discovered that simply pressing the button on the cradle performed the synch just as well.

Native conduits are the ones supplied with the Palm Desktop. When you install TrueSync, it disables the native conduits since it takes over.

I don't use the expense manager so I'm not sure if it's considered part of the native conduits that TrueSync would disable. If it is, then you're out of luck.
