Check out the interview for the answer to your questions. They also demo the webcam functionality.

Until then:
The webcam works outside of the visor connected to a PC via usb.

The lens DOES swviel to allow it to point at the user, or the object. There is a manual and automatic focus... and the $99 price is right - got confused their - sorry!

Glee!!!

Apparently, it stores the pictures on the Visor first, wonder why they didn't just allow them to be stored directly to the flash memory?

Targus makes only the coolest stuff. EM2 will have to drip price to compete.

I toyed with buying an EM2 earlier in the year, but held off - I'd planned to revisit the issue closer to Christmas. Now I'm glad I waited - I would have been PO'd if I'd laid out close to $200 bucks for an EM2 and then found out this was in the hopper.

I do apologize if this was covered in the interview, but I can't use streaming media here (blocked at the firewall). Did Targus actually develop this product themselves, or are they just branding a product made by somebody else like they do with the Stowaway (actually invented by thinkoutside)?

Not that it makes a difference... I'm just curious. This is a pretty exciting module, if it is actually going to sell for $99! Maybe it will finally quell some of those whiny "But I can buy a standalone camera with better resolution and a flash for that price!" complaints the Eyemodule always gets.

If you mean the product website, I can't find one either, if you mean the streaming vidoe, it's on the front page under Comdex.

It's already out? Did a search and Nextag already lists e-stores that have them sore sale, although they are back-ordered. Still a good sign. You can save upto 20 bux on it. None of the sites have info on the module yet so i'm guessing this is the same as a pre-order stage..maybe?

Thanks for the info, Buy.com had it the cheapest, and free shipping ends today, I went ahead and ordered it, I guess they'll ship it when they get it in stock.

It look cool. REAL cool. But what about Macs?

If this module works as a webcam with a Mac, I am all over it. I knew I held off buying an eyemodule for a reason. Has anyone heard anything on Mac compatiblity? Also, can you transfer images using Ir to a computer?
