Thumbs down

Well, I just got my Flipcase from SynSolutions. I have to say that I'm not as impressed as I thought I'd be.

For one, there are two, count them, two velcro strips instead of just one as with so many other cases. And the problem is, with the Visor, you end up being forced to place the velcro over both removable parts of the Visor -- the Springboard cover and the battery cover.

SynSolutions' website shows installation instructions and their velcro clears the battery cover of a Palm IIIx. Maybe a Visor is a little longer?

Thumbs up

I've changed my mind after using it for a while.

At first, I really didn't like the FlipCase. I guess all this velcro kind of freaked me out. But, I realized that you can't have a small sleak case without hugging the Visor as closely as possible. This must have been the best way.

It also felt kind of strange whipping this thing out in public with its long leather cover flopping over. Like I was some power nerd and his immitation tricorder! But, I'm getting used to it.

One major drawback though in the NON belt clip version: those sharp corners on the top velcro portion of the case. They're not rounded over like the opposite end, so if you keep your FlipCased Visor in your pocket like I do, those corners catch really bad.

Well, I did something about it! I've got my case at the shoe repair shop right now getting "modified!" That's right. I'll post an update when I get it back...
