Question

How do I free up memory in Visor? I've deleted apps, with no apparent change in the amount of available memory. Am I missing something?

If you're deleting small apps, it won't be very obvious. You will free up memory, though.

From the Applications screen, open the file menu and look at App|Info. This will tell you which applications are using how much memory.

One thing I noticed a while ago when I had a similar problem--I often use the Visor to clear out my e-mail inbox. After a while, Mail was taking up about 5MB, and didn't go down much even if I had nothing in the inbox or file folder. Couldn't figure it out until I realized that deleted messages (and I had a lot of them) are still stored on the Visor until you Purge Deleted messages. Not sure if this is your problem or not...

Check out Z'Catalog (aka Zarf's Catalog) or RamHog. Both freeware that will show mem usage. That's all RamHog does with the biggest at the top. Z'Cat does a lot more and you can sort the display on any column (mem included).
