how do you get image in auther profile section of a post?

how do you get image in auther profile section of a post? i would like to insert a picture thier like others have done. i have scanned an image of my removed cracked digitizer and would like to insert it.

Get into your profile (from the main Discussion screen, click User CP). Click the "Edit Options" tab. Scroll down, click "Change Avatar." There's some easy to follow instructions on how to upload your image & have it set as your avatar!

...BTW: I LOVE avatars, helps me remember and ID users more so than anything else!
