PQA's on the JS Software work just like they do on a Palm VII. You still need a network connection to use most of them, but some don't, and contain static data. I havn't found any that can sync like AvantGo.
Plus, not all Palm VII software will work. Stuff like AOL Mail VII still needs parts of the VII OS that JS PQA doesn't emulate.
It's true that many are old and don't work, but their still great because they download only the nessessary data and are faster then accessing a web page. Durring the Ravens game, I was unable to access a TV, but I used a football PQA to keep up on the action. It worked great.
JS does a great job emulating the special Palm.net features, but not all work. For example, the weather.com PQA has a "My Weather" button which looks up your zip through the Palm.net network. JS systems can trick that, but you have to put in your Zip your self. (In the prefs). It still works, but isn't as fun as with Palm VII.
