Angry

Well, just got a Stowaway for my Prism. The keyboard just isn't working.

I loaded the v1.0 drive and tried it out... nothing. I knew about the idiosyncrasies of attaching the device to the keyboard (power off while attaching).

I then downloaded and installed the new driver 1.5 driver. I deleted the old one first, installed the new one, which asked for a soft-reset when the hotsync finished.

With the Prism off, I attached it to the keyboard. I turned it on again, and nothing. There was a glimmer of hope when I unchecked the "Enable Stowaway" box in the Keyboard app, turned the Prism off/on again, then enabled the driver. I was able to type in the test box. I was also able to switch to the Address app.. but that's where it ends.

I can't get anything out of the keyboard now.

Has anyone else had a problem with the Prism / Stowaway combo?

Do a warm reset (hold the UP button while pressing reset), delete the Stowaway driver, and re-install it. Do a soft reset (if the driver installation doesn't prompt you to do so) and see if the keyboard works.

In addition to what MarkEagle said, make sure you have Beam Recieve set to on.

Ok... this is wierd. I went to change my Beam Receive to "On" in prefs, and it won't let me change the setting.

I then tried to Beam an app from the Beam application, knowing it would ask me if I wanted to change Beam receive to on, and I got a "Exchange Libraries Not Present" error.

How would my IR libraries get deleted? Last week I started fresh and did a hard reset, installed the Prism updates, then installed all my apps and data. Are there IR libraries I need in addition to the update?

Thanks for your reply.
